Free Virtual Summit for Women
June 3-5, 2026
The Solo Hiker Summit
For women who are done waiting for the right person, the right conditions, or the right version of themselves — and are ready to finally hike alone, go confidently, and maybe even spend a night or two in the backcountry. 😉
You've been saying someday for years. This summer, someday ends.
June 3-5 | Starts 10 AM Daily | Replays 24 Hours
Summit brought to you by She Dreams of Alpine
This Is Your Invitation to Go Solo—With Confidence.
You've been doing all-the-things:
✔️ Watched YouTube tutorials ✔️ Read trail reports ✔️ Joined hiking Facebook groups ✔️ Researched gear... maybe even bought some of it
You know you want to do this.
You've known for a while.
But you still haven't gone — or at least not nearly as much as you'd like.
It feels like every time you get close, something gets in the way:
- Your friends bail... again
- You start researching and end up more overwhelmed than when you opened the tab
- You lie awake running through the worst-case scenarios: what if I get hurt and there's no one there? What if I get lost? What if I run into someone with bad intentions?
- Your friends and family constantly tell you it isn't safe to go alone
- You feel guilty before you've even left (spending time + money on something that's just for you)
You wonder if the women who do this are a different kind of person than you.
And somewhere underneath all of it, there's a quieter voice...
I used to be braver than this.
This is a gave-up-on-it-years-ago dream.
I'm starting to wonder if someday is just another word for never.
That voice is why you're here. And it's exactly who this summit is for.
Women's Solo Hiker Summit | June 3–5, 2026 | Replays 24 Hours
What You Can Expect...
3 days to go from "I want to" to "I have a date."
👉 We’re DONE with the outdated idea that solo adventure is unsafe, selfish, or reckless.
Because here’s the truth: women are out there doing this—solo hiking, solo overnights, solo backpacking trips—👏 ALL 👏 THE 👏 TIME 👏 And they’re thriving.
And they're not a different kind of woman than you. They just made a different decision.
This summit is 3 days of exactly that shift.
Through the fear of men on the trail that nobody talks about. Through the navigation anxiety. Through the family who doesn't get it. Through the body that's older or slower or different than it used to be. Through the decade of saying someday.
We're going to cover it all.
HERE'S HOW THE 3 DAYS BREAK DOWN...
Day 1 — June 3
Decide you're the kind of woman who goes
Bust the myths. Claim the identity. Stop waiting for permission.
- Allison Boyle, Summit Host — You’re not “just” a day hiker. You’re a backpacker who hasn’t decided yet.
- Nicole Snell on unlocking adventure with real self-defense skills for solo hikers
- Panel — Reclaiming your dreams: start solo hiking after 40
- Kellie Adkins, Team Alpine — How to handle the people in your life who don’t get it
- Lauren Hronek on what working in law enforcement taught her about solo hiking safety
- Allison Boyle, Summit Host — Why “just bring a buddy” is the wrong advice
Day 2 — June 4
See what’s actually possible for you
Real women, real adventures — the evidence that changes everything.
- Allison Boyle, Summit Host — Why you’re scared to go solo — and what to do about it
- Meg Atteberry on finding time for solo hikes as a busy mom or caregiver
- Panel — Solo hiking with injury, illness & changing bodies
- Kellie Adkins, Team Alpine on what she saw as a biologist & park manager that changed how she thinks about solo hiking safety
- Kim Titchener on wildlife safety for solo hikers
- Allison Boyle, Summit Host — The three women you become when you stop waiting
Day 3 — June 5
Make going solo real this summer
Someday is this summer. Your first solo backpacking trip starts here.
- Allison Boyle, Summit Host — Summit Masterclass: How to make your first solo backpacking trip a reality this summer
- See exactly where you are — and what’s actually standing between you and the trail
- Choose your goal trail and put a real date on the calendar
- Walk away knowing who you’re becoming — and what your next step is
Three days. Thirteen sessions. Experts who have actually walked this — and women who looked exactly like you do right now, and went solo.
You won't leave with more information to sit on.
You'll leave with momentum.
⚠️ We’re not here to tell you to ignore safety — in fact, that's the opposite of what this summit is about.
Every trip (solo or with a group) deserves a solid plan, the right tools, the skills to adapt when things change, and the wisdom to know when not to go at all.
But the idea that you can’t go alone?
That it’s too risky, too selfish, too much?
That’s the lie.
You can go on safe, fun, and empowering solo hiking and backpacking adventures—and this summit is going to show you what's possible.

Meet Your Summit Host
Hey, I'm Allison 👋
I've spent the last decade teaching women how to become safe, confident, self-sufficient backpackers — and more importantly, how to stop waiting for permission to go.
Through my Backpacking Badass Program, I've helped over 2,000 women cross the gap between "I want to do this someday" and actually doing it. I know what keeps women stuck (I've heard every version of the story) and I know exactly what it takes to move through it.
Solo adventuring changed everything for me. Not because the fear disappeared, but because I stopped letting it make decisions for me. I want that for every woman who shows up this week.
I cannot wait to see you at the summit!

You're in the right place if this sounds like your internal monologue...
🥾 You love hiking, but there's a next level you keep almost reaching — and then not... Maybe it's the solo overnight you've been planning for years. Maybe it's the multi-day trip that's been on your list so long it feels embarrassing. Maybe you're just tired of needing someone else's yes before you can go.
🌲 You've done a lot of research, but "learning" hasn't been enough to close the gap between wanting and doing.
🏔️ You take your safety seriously, which is part of why you haven't gone yet. You're not looking for someone to tell you the risk doesn't exist. You're looking for someone to show you how to own your own preparedness.
✨ Something has shifted, or is shifting. The kids left. The marriage changed. The job ended. The birthday hit differently this year. And you're realizing that the trail you've been putting off by waiting for the right time, the right person, the right version of yourself... is available right now.
This summit was built for exactly where you are.

"At the end of it all (more like the beginning of everything, really) I no longer feel like I don't know enough, or I'm not fit enough, or that I'm too old, or that as a woman I shouldn't go alone. I feel like I've found my community and I belong."
